Resurrected Souls
If you only knew how close some people were to calling it quits. Not just on people, but life itself.
You would then understand why their peace is so sacred.
They aren’t just healed people. They are resurrected souls. They’ve been to the edge of their own breaking.
Where silence is screamed and smiles were worn like armor and they made it back. Not because they were strong, but because they leaned on God for real.
This is why they move differently. This is why they don’t entertain confusion. This is why they don’t entertain inconsistency. This is why they don’t entertain disrespect. This is why they don’t entertain chaos.
Because they have already lived through storms that tried to bury them.
They know that not everyone who knocks deserves to enter and some bring triggers disguised as charm.
They are not “too picky”, they are finally precise for the first time in their life.
When they’ve had to rebuild your life brick by brick with prayer, therapy, tears and lonely nights, they don’t let anyone shake the foundation they’ve bled for.
Because people with the brightest smiles have walked the darkest paths.
And it’s only because they have allowed themselves to put their hand in God’s hand to lead them through.
Their peace is like a garden grown from ashes.
Every boundary is a fence around something sacred.
And they don’t let wild hands pluck the flowers they’ve prayed for in their drought.
In Love and Light,
Steve
