Let’s Get Real
You are not just hurting, you are, over and over, rehearsing the identity you have built around that suffering self. You have received some wonderful healing, but you didn’t detach from that suffering self. We know there are no victims, but playing the victim can give clarity even at the cost of freedom. You believe it’s safer to knowingly suffer than being disappointed in being present and whole.
Through this the story is kept alive, the trauma current and the pain made as a comfortable part of your personality. Why? You know pain will always be loyal to you because it is known and familiar and holding onto it provides a strange sense of security. It never lied to you, it just ignores you.
Time to get real. When you continue to walk into life identifying with old wounds, you impede your spiritual growth and your healing. Begin to let go of introducing and identifying yourself with what negatively happened to you. Begin to step into your divine self and into your life without the wounds to prove your worth.
Move forward! The next time you are triggered, stop identifying with the thought that this is happening again to me. Ask yourself what you are identifying with that no longer works. You have probably received some wonderful healing, but you keep speaking your old story.
Today, make a commitment to yourself that this will be the last time you identify with old emotional wounds that you know won’t work anymore. They have served you all they can serve you. Why would you still carry them around? Take the labels off. Rewrite your life. If the healing you received doesn’t help you begin to release that wounded suffering self, it’s not healing, it’s you still hiding within that suffering self.
Your healing is to assist you to heal yourself. Your healing is to bring you to greater awareness that you have and can make a more aware choice, and that is freedom!
In Love and Light,
Steve
